Pattonsburg Domes
Finished
Pattonsburg, Mo. - Dome Technology has finished
all four domes for the Pattonsburg School District.
The largest dome, the gymnasium, is 150" in
diameter and built on a stem wall. The stem wall
was built by standing steel panels around the
foundation, applying polyurethane foam, hanging
steel rebar, and spraying shotcrete to finish the
wall. The fabric form was attached to the top of
the wall and inflated. Three domes including the
gymnasium are for the high school. One dome will be
used for an elementary school. School is expected
to start in the Fall of 1998.

Broadview Baptist
Missionary Church
Chicago - Dome structures and religion go back
through history for centuries. Its use as a
religious symbol is well recognized around the
world. Soon the Broadview Baptist Missionary Church
will be added to that distinctive list of religious
buildings.
The church is being built under a design/build
contract by Dennis Urman, Church Building
Consultants, Inc. The design calls for a 142 foot
diameter by 45.5 foot high dome. It will be used
for a 2,000 seat sanctuary. The circular plan
allows all the pews to point directly at the
podium.
Surrounding the dome will be a conventional
structure with classrooms, kitchen, fellowship
hall, offices, and more.
